Hello everyone!!! Sorry I haven’t posted
anything in a while. I’ve been so busy these couple weeks studying for the upcoming exams and surely, it reduces my food hunting time (*crying out loud*). So
anyway, today I want to share my food experience in a very sweet, pretty looking
bakery in Covent Garden called PRIMROSE BAKERY.
The beauty of living in London, you will
never run out of desserts, cupcakes, and those entire sweet toots. I
just love London so so so much!!
Look
at how cute the bakery is! Dominated by yellow pastel colour, it is so
pretty and eye-catching. And those little stripes tent makes it looks even
cuter. When I first got in, me and my friend was greeted by a very friendly
waitress who smiled so cheerfully, it felt like she was spreading happiness. The
waitress was so nice, she explained to us all the cupcakes flavours and also
gave recommendations (there was no sign of what flavours the cupcakes are).
And not to mention, they also have special
menu of cupcakes that changes everyday
Salted
Caramel Cupcake (£2.75)
I love salted caramel. Though, i never had salted caramel cupcakes before, so this is definitely my first time. Have you
ever tasted something so delicious, you just feel so happy and wanna cry?
Well, ok it’s a bit exaggeration. I didn’t cry though, but I swear it tasted so
effing good. At first, I thought the cupcake was going to be too sweet since
it is a caramel, but it wasn't. It was sweet.. and salty.. but definitely not over sweet like cupcakes normally. Definitely recommended!
Red Velvet Cupcake (£2.75)
My friend ordered the red velvet. The waitress
recommended this to her as she said it is the best-selling in the store.
Well, to be frank, I like hummingbird’s red velvet better, but it still is delicious though. The most disappointing part was the the presentation. It was quite poor and the red colour of
the cupcake was not vibrant enough, it looks kinda more reddish brown, which made it so not attractive.
Chocolate Cupcake (£2.25)
This was another recommendation by the seller. I love
those little cute rainbow stars. Again, it was not too sweet, perfect sweetness,
but I could not really taste the chocolate flavour in the cupcake. I tasted more
sugar than the chocolate itself.
Overall, I give 4/5 for this bakery. I
love the atmosphere and the cuteness, and the cupcakes too. I can’t wait to come
again and taste other flavours. The bakery also sells many other
cakes, such as cookies, layer cakes and cocktail cupcakes, which I just found
out on the website. They also received
pre-order cakes for celebration and wedding. And for those who want to
learn how to make cupcakes, the bakery also open baking classes that you can find out on their website.
